June CCDT Blog Hop "New Catalogue Favourites" + GIVEAWAY

Hello Friends!

Welcome to another exciting CCDT blog hop! Today, June 1 marks our Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 catalog debut and I am excited to share with you my New Catalog Favourites!

New Catalog Favourites - I only have a few right now as some of my pre-orders are on backorder and demonstrators have certain pre-order selections to play with before the full catalog items become live which is TODAY!

Be sure to read all the way to the bottom. You will see an e-catalog link and a blog GIVEAWAY.

Favourite 1 - Tranquil Tulips (143767) on page 223 is a 22 pieces stamp set. A beautiful 2-step stamping. The images are so soft and it is like watercolor. The stampin' combination is very easy to use.

I created this thank you card using the Tranquil Tulips together with the in Color "Fresh Fig" and "Lemon Lime Twist" and the Color Theory Designer Paper Stack.

I stamped the tulips on whisper white and fussy cut the tulips and applied it to my crate box.

Favourite 2, the 2017-2019 inColor papers and inks on page 184. These are bright and can work with any of these color combination (see color combination). I have so far played with Berry Burst, Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist. These are so vibrant and it makes 2-step stamping so easy with the color coordination!

Favorite 3 - The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack (144177) on page 159. It comes with 48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. 6" x 6". I love the look of these paper stacks because they are photographed and so realistic looking.

Favourite 4, the Wood Crate Framelits dies (see image below) (143730) is one of those items that were on backorder to store goodies in, and I couldn't wait for it.

So I designed a replica of the Wood Crate but adding a 3x3 card holder behind it.

I made a bunch of these cute Tranquil Tulip Coffee crates for the gals at work as they covered my lawyers while I was on holidays in Cuba. These are also my Thank You Crate Box for my annual Catalog Kick-Off debut which is scheduled for June 24 at 2:00 p.m. (call or email me, and I will give you the details - Surrey, BC).

Click below to see how the crate is put together. Want to win a copy of the template/tutorial, please comment below. I will announce a winner tonight, otherwise you can find the pattern here.

I brought back bags of coffee beans. The coffee beans are wrapped up in the 3" x 6" Gusseted Cellophane Bags (141704), and tied with Lemon Twist 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon (144135).

Step Up - Shaker Cheers

Hello Friends!

I was going through my blog post, and forgot to share this card I made a long time ago using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits (141497).

My husband has gone fishing for the week, and I decided to do a staycation too, only at home just to do what I wanted to do ... absolutely nothing other than playing in my craft studio.

I am actually getting ready for my catalogue kick-off scheduled for June 24. If you are in the area (Surrey, BC), please let me know.

I am not going into too much details on this card, as it is quite straightforward. I will explain how I turn the swirly die into a shaker card.

The swirly die was cut in pacific point card stock together with window sheet, and then die cut again with fun foam pieces that you can purchase at the dollar store and then glued to the back of the swirly piece. Then in each of the crevasses, I added some blue hues sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Want to learn more HERE. Any purchases over $60 you are invited to my Canadian Papercraft Cards Scrapbook page, and the StampersPlus VIPs members only page. The StampersPlus VIPs Members Only page has exclusive videos and templates for clients' use.

May CCDT Blog Hop: Rock-A-Bye! + Giveaway

Hello Friends!

Welcome to the May CCDT Blog hop! This month's theme is Rock-A-Bye!

I have been wanting to do a 3D rocking crib for awhile now, and what a great opportunity for the month of May.

The crib does rock if you have equal weight balance but because I was filling with various items in the crib, I cut the bottom off to make it straight and to hold more goodies inside.

This was created for a gal at work who loves my work, and one of my best customers who continuous to buy cards from me.

The 3D crib holds this cute baby bottle card, and a mini scrapbook of the word "BABY" below.

I created another use of this 3D crib with our Succulent Framelits Dies (142757) and the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies (142749) for my own purposes.

The succulent flowers were die cut in various shades of card stocks and shade each of them differently.

I want to show you a different look, especially for those who does not have upcoming babies, why not give a gift to a gardener?

The crib can hold many packages of seeds or use the crib as a succulent bed for household display.

The bed is propped with a Styrofoam block and covered with Spanish Moss purchased at Michael's Craft Store.

Then I die cut all the different layers of flowers and arranged them. I also added a succulent umbrella to the crib with the dragonfly on top.

ACT NOW ... enter a comment below and a chance to win this file (3D Rocking Crib, Baby Bottle Card and the BABY mini album) upon my return from Cuba. Yes, as you are reading this post, I am in Cuba for another week. A winner will be announced on May 15.

To purchase, it will also be available when I return from Cuba.

Now you can click on the icon below and hop on over to Lynn Streifert's blog to see what she has!
